Benefits

Greater consistency, greater reliability

Ply-Lam is essentially plywood, so it is a very stable product. It isn't prone to the warping, cracking and twisting you get with dimensional lumber. In the photo, the dimensional lumber is warping while the Ply-Lam is not.

Improved safety

Ply-Lam is lighter, easier to work with and more fire resistant than OSB. It also has memory: it may swell when wet, but returns to its original size when dry.

Environmentally friendly

Ply-Lam makes better use of the resource than dimensional lumber. When dimensional lumber is used for stringers, up to 40% of the wood can be wasted. Choosing Ply-Lam helps protect habitats like this one.
